We proudly unveil our 2nd line up announcement, which includes 49 new artists as well as our final headliners, Kodaline!
We’re super stoked to add the awesome Kodaline to headline the Sunday night of TRUCK 2016, to join our huge headliners, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Manic Street Preachers. Fresh off the back of their sell out European tour, the Irish four piece are no doubt going to add the anthemic sing-a-long end to the festival that you’ve all been waiting for!
Alongside this we have the pleasure of announcing the iconic and pioneering Hip Hop group Jurassic 5. We cannot believe that LA wordsmiths are flying over specially to head to the UK’s best small festival, what a way to begin that Friday evening!
Former headliners and firm Truck favourites Mystery Jets, will also be heading back to Oxfordshire to headline the Sunday night of our wonderful Market Stage. No doubt bringing out all the hits as well as a sampling from their critically acclaimed new album, “Curve Of The Earth”.
Next up for Truck is the young singer songwriter SOAK. A.K.A. Birdie Monds-Watson, SOAK collected the Irish Choice Music Prize for album of the year only a little less than a month ago. She’ll be bringing her awesome talents across to headline the Market Stage on Friday night!
This years Truck Festival, will also see some of the most hotly tipped artists, including BBC Radio 1 Sound Of 2015’s Blossoms, the rad returning Spring King, Liverpool’s latest hopes, Clean Cut Kid and all the way from down under the huge DMA’s.
Sunday night will be one with a rare groove and disco feel with the legend that is Norman Jay MBE playing the most feel good sets of the whole weekend, no doubt this will be the best way to end the festival possible.
Alongside this we have some of the best louder music that will leave your ears bleeding (in a good way) at Hill Farm as we welcome the most requested band of the year Neck Deep, the awesome melodic hardcore band, Basement, Brighton noise mongers Black Peaks, as well as the set with a secret from the mysteriously named Ian.
As usual Truck will specialise in bringing you the best alternative bands around and this year will be no different with B-Town’s very own Swim Deep, Bristol’s Coasts (who we’ve been after for so long), Fickle Friends, Frances, Vant, Black Honey, The Big Moon, Eliza and the Bear, Pumarosa, Public Access TV, Lauren Aquilina and Straight out of motha flippin Berkshire – The Amazons.
Without blowing our trumpet this announcement is the gift that keeps giving with these awesome acts joining the bill are Truck legends Emily Barker, Danny and the Champions of the World, The Dreaming Spires, BBC 6Music favourites Jodie Abacus, Welsh champs Estrons, alongside Alcopop and BSM’s Johnny Foreigner, Yndi Halda, Get Inuit, Cassels, Happy Accidents and Oh Boy! Mix in the return of the crowdsurfing Bloody Knees, as well as Hudson Scott, Traams, Tired Lion, Shame, Virgin Kids, Monarks, Yonaka, Zuzu, Tax The Heat and finally London via Oxford’s Shark Dentist (who provided the awesome song in our line up vid – check that out here you can see why we’re easily the UK’s best small festival.
